Dr. Sam Awada at Midwest Family Practice has been providing Family Centered Medical Care to Southeast Michigan since 2002. In collaboration with the Wayne State University School of Medicine we provide graduate medical education to new Family Practitioners. All of the care delivered at Midwest Family Practice is supervised by Board Certified specialists in Family Practice. The combination of experienced practitioners and recent graduates provides state of the art medical care for our patients and an outstanding educational environment.
Family practice is the medical specialty which provides continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family. It is the specialty in breadth which integrates the biological, clinical, and behavioral sciences. The scope of family practice encompasses all ages, both sexes, each organ system and every disease entity. (American Academy of Family Physicians, Congress of Delegates, 1999).
